Leo tried to hit Alt+F4. Nothing. Ctrl+Alt+Delete. Nothing. The trackpad clicked uselessly.

Leo didn't reply. He just looked at the crumpled note on his desk. The ink was smeared. Where it used to say "Baldi’s Basics Unblocked Games 911," it now just said:

The game crashed.

The screen glitched. For one frame, Leo saw his own reflection in the black of the monitor—except his reflection was blinking when he wasn't. And behind his reflection, standing in the empty computer lab, was the silhouette of a man holding a ruler.

The Chromebook’s webcam light flickered on. Then off.

Then, a pixelated door creaked open.
