Ben 10: Alien Force successfully matured the original series without losing its heart. Moving Ben from a hyperactive 10-year-old to a more reluctant, responsible 15-year-old was a gamble that paid off. The darker tone, serialized storytelling (especially the High Breed arc in S1–2), and the found-family dynamic between Ben, Gwen, and Kevin elevate it above many action cartoons of its era.
