If it finds a C: line, it reaches out over the internet (or local network) to the specified server. The server checks the credentials against its F: lines, and if valid, it begins forwarding ECMs (Entitlement Control Messages)—the cryptographic keys that temporarily unlock a scrambled channel. cccam config
