DETAILSA strong feature related to the (often using spinach or ivy) is the calculation of the ET50 (Estimated Time for 50% of disks to float) .
Here, (because at 12 min, 6 out of 10 disks are floating).
If the exact 50% falls between time points, you can interpolate: ET50 = T₁ + ( (0.5N – N₁) / (N₂ – N₁) ) × (T₂ – T₁) where N = total disks, N₁ = # floating at T₁, N₂ = # floating at T₂. Question example: “How does light intensity affect the rate of photosynthesis?”
| Time (min) | # of disks floating | Cumulative # floating | |------------|----------------------|------------------------| | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 5 | 1 | 1 | | 10 | 3 | 4 | | | 2 | 6 (50% of 10) | | 15 | 2 | 8 | | 20 | 2 | 10 |
