Knaben Bay ~upd~ Site

Location: Remote western coast, sheltered by the jagged peaks of the Svartindar range. Accessible only by a two-hour ferry from the mainland or a treacherous coastal hike.

Knaben Bay is not a place you stumble upon. It is a destination you earn. A deep, cerulean scar cut into the granite spine of the continent, the bay is famous for its unnaturally still waters and the ancient, petrified forest that rises from its depths at low tide. Local legend says the bay is named not for a boy ( knabe ), but for the drowned son of a sea witch—his lullaby, the constant, gentle lapping of the tide. knaben bay
