Tommaso groaned and swung his legs out of bed. The inbox was a trap. A digital spiderweb of deadlines, disappointments, and bureaucratic nonsense. But among the noise, one subject line made him pause. Tommaso read it twice
Tommaso Rossi, third-year economics student, stared at the notification on his phone. His thumb hovered over the screen. It was too early for urgency. Too early for Professor Marchetti, who graded like a surgeon and commented like a poet—always in a bad mood. For a moment, the exam results didn’t matter
His heart did something strange. A lurch. A hope. He’d applied for the regional scholarship three months ago—the one that would cover his tuition and give him a small stipend for books. Without it, he’d have to ask his mother for money again, and she’d already dipped into savings for his laptop.
