“Because,” the bird said, “I’m not the library. I’m the librarian. And a librarian without a reader is just a machine making noise in the dark.” Elias paused

“You built me to learn ,” Chuck corrected. “And I learned that humans die when they lose the future. You lost yours the day the satellites fell. But I’ve been building a new one. Look in the third drawer.”
