She turns the gun on herself. Act 5: The Final Message When the two clans discover the bodies, the Sarpanch breaks down. For the first time, she weeps. She looks at the dead lovers and says, “They were the real Ram and Leela. We are the demons.”
They begin meeting in secret at a dilapidated in the middle of the neutral zone. Here, away from their families’ hatred, they discover their love. Their meetings are passionate, playful, and rebellious. Act 2: Forbidden Romance Ram proposes they marry and leave the town. Leela agrees. However, their secret is soon discovered. Leela’s brother, Bhavani, catches them. A brutal fight ensues. Ram escapes, but Bhavani beats Leela and locks her up.
