Charles Sobhraj, Ajay Chowdhury, and Marie-Andrée Leclerc have relocated to New Delhi after fleeing Thailand. Living under false names, they pose as gem dealers. Charles is growing reckless, obsessed with maintaining his illusion of power. Marie-Andrée, now suffering from severe abdominal pain (a real medical issue she had), begins to see Charles’s manipulation clearly for the first time. Alone in their hotel room, Marie-Andrée finds a suitcase full of passports, drugs, and jewelry. She finally understands she’s not a traveler or lover—she’s an accessory to murder.
