Tipistar - Model

1. Introduction The Tipistar model (often stylized as TIPISTAR or TIPI-STAR ) is a stochastic, time-series-based framework designed for the forecasting and stochastic simulation of hydro-meteorological variables , most notably monthly and seasonal river flow volumes . It belongs to the family of parsimonious, linear-regression-like models that incorporate periodic (seasonal) and autoregressive components. The name "Tipistar" is an acronym derived from its core mathematical structure: TIme-series with PIriodically Stationary and AutoRegressive components.
