VMware vSphere 5.5 reached End of General Support on September 19, 2018 , and End of Technical Guidance on September 19, 2020. It is no longer available for direct download from the main VMware website for new users without a special legacy contract. However, the files still exist on VMware's servers if you have the correct links.
