Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort attempts to reboot the franchise with gothic family horror and moral decay, but ends up a grim, nasty, and forgettable entry — best for completionists only. No cure

Unlike earlier Wrong Turn entries (which were mostly survival horror), Last Resort leans into and dark family drama . The violence is graphic, sexual, and often cruel — including a notorious, controversial scene involving torture in a hotel room. The film was shot in Bulgaria, not West Virginia. It is also the last Wrong Turn film before the 2021 reboot, which completely ignored all sequels.

Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014)

Danny, a young man who has just learned he has inherited a mysterious, isolated resort in the Appalachian Mountains, travels there with his girlfriend, Toni, and a group of friends. They expect a weekend of luxury and relaxation. Instead, they discover the rundown, gothic Hobb Springs — a forgotten thermal spa with a dark history of inbreeding, cannibalism, and ritualistic violence.
